Context and Objectives
SPOTT Cultural Center, located in Ottignies, is a premier cultural institution in the region, offering a wide range of activities, including concerts, theater performances, conferences, and exhibitions. With a rich and diverse program, SPOTT attracts a varied and demanding audience, necessitating high-quality facilities to meet their needs.
As part of its mission to continuously enhance the experience offered to its audience, SPOTT decided to upgrade the audio system in its main performance hall. The goal was to provide exceptional sound quality, suitable for all types of events, ensuring total immersion and optimal acoustic comfort.
XLR proposed and supplied a complete L-Acoustics audio system, renowned for its quality and reliability. The installation was carried out by Riva Audio, ensuring a professional and optimized setup for the hall.
Installation Details
L-Acoustics A15i Focus and A15i Wide : These speakers were installed to offer wide and precise sound coverage. The A15i Focus is designed for short and medium-range applications, while the A15i Wide ensures broader horizontal coverage.
L-Acoustics KS21i : These subwoofers provide deep and powerful bass, essential for musical performances and immersive sound effects.
L-Acoustics X4i (Lip Fill) : Installed in the front row, these small speakers ensure uniform sound distribution to the front rows, often the most challenging to cover.
L-Acoustics X12 (Center Fill) : Placed in the center, this speaker ensures perfect sound coherence, filling any potential sound gaps in the coverage.
L-Acoustics LA4x and LA2xi Amplifiers : These high-end amplifiers offer quality amplification with maximum efficiency, ensuring each speaker operates at its full potential.
L-Acoustics P1: This signal processing platform allows advanced audio management, including synchronization and equipment control.
Allen&Heath Avantis : This digital mixing console provides an intuitive user interface and advanced mixing capabilities, ideal for managing various events.
Allen&Heath GX4816 : This stagebox offers extended input/output capabilities, facilitating the connection of multiple audio sources and peripherals.
